- In one sentence how would you describe your work?
It's really difficult to describe or evaluate my own work, but I always try to bring a certain dynamic, clarity and harmony into my pictures.
- What are your main inspirations?
Other artists, that I like, can be a big inspiration to me. Films, games, music and generally lots of other impressions, that I gain in daily life as well. Often I can hardly trace back all the impressions, that lead to my inspiration. <.<
- What media do you work in? Do you have any tips?
As a base I mostly use Copics for colouring. Later on this base is enhanced with lots of other media. Those could be Polychromos (coloured pencils), coloured chalk, ink, Photoshop...
My personal tip would be, to experiment with lots of different media and to not be afraid to combine them (even if it may seem a little odd at first). The combination may lead to very different and new effects. One might find his or her unique style more quickly that way.
In the future I'd like to try out water colours more often. :3
- Is art your career or would you like it to be in the future?
Together with my team-mate, Marco, I work on our manga project "Monster Tutor". In the future we hope to find a suitable publisher for that project. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
- If in the future you could no longer draw how would you spend the time you currently use to draw?
Well, I do hope, it will never come that far, but if I really couldn't draw anymore, I'd have to telephone all day long with Marco. The poor guy... *already getting on his nerves* xD
- Do you see your current work as 'art' or something else? What does 'art' mean to you?I think, an "artist" always has a very special relationship with his own work. I have that as well. But I also think, that others personally have to decide what "art" is.
For me art is something out of which the observer or listener can gain something special/some sentimental value for himself.
- Have you exhibited your work in a real life exhibition? If so what were your experiences and would you want to do it again? So far I've never had any exhibition of my work. But as I already mentioned, I'm working together with my friend, to get our manga "Monster Tutor" published.
On the internet we already try to build a fanbase for that project, for example in our sketch blog:

- What has been your most important achievement in life so far?As a hardworking artist, you constantly gain achievements in many respects. Pushing your limits and improving your own abilities, is a significant accomplishment on it's own.
Asking about my most important achievement so far, it has to be the creation of our manga project. It's like all the characters and their world have developed their own life already. They're like my children. Yeah, it sounds cheesy, but that's how I really feel! xD
- Pick an image from your gallery and talk about the inspirations and processes that happened during the creation of itLet's talk about "Snow White Comission" then.
It's media were coloured multiliners, Copics, Polychromos, coloured chalk and a little Photoshop-magic.
As it was a commission, there's not just my influence in it, but the influence of the commisioner as well. She wanted to have a really sweet and beautiful fairy tale princess.
I would have wished for a more morbid version, where Snow White's eyeballs are rolled up and there's saliver dripping out of her mouth's corner, maybe. xD
Fairy tales most often are portrayed very family friendly, so a version with a little more darker tone would have been surely exciting. The bed of fallen leaves brings in a little more gloomier look though.
The clothes and their colors are very near to Disney's version, because I thought, they have already become so iconic and instantly recognizable for this character. Nevertheless I tried to alter some details, to bring in my own style. Like the long, flowing hair, her lace collar or the pearldrops on her top.
For this commission and several other works you can find work in process pictures and explanations in our already mentioned blog. ^__^
